The work of the Sparkill Creek is being furthered with science faculty from Dominican College and St. Thomas Aquinas College. By partnering with students of these nearby colleges, as well as from Rutgers, SCWA has the opportunity to share our developing information and practices with students who are interested to advance their studies in the context of the living environment, and community. This is all leading to growing citizen science and stream stewardship into future generations.

• St. Thomas Aquinas – Creek sampling and chemical testing, Trees for Tribs plantings, and Creek Clean-ups

• Dominican College – Creek biological sampling and testing, invasive plant pull.

Creekside Neighbors

Do you live by or along the Sparkill Creek? We are especially interested in connecting with our Creekside Neighbors.  We are developing special programs that would benefit from your participation based on your proximity to the Creek. Please join us at our monthly meetings.
